Chelsea have identified Como central defender Jacobo Ramon as a serious transfer target, according to reports.
Interest in the 21-year-old Spanish player is growing among several leading European clubs, with Chelsea regarded as one of the main contenders for his signature. Insider Ekrem Konur reports that the Blues are firmly focused on Ramon, who has established himself in Italy under the management of Cesc Fabregas.
Ramon is understood to be happy at Como and is not in a hurry to leave the club.
The defender has also been linked with a return to Real Madrid, where he came through the academy. The Spanish club could reportedly re-sign him for a significantly reduced fee because of a first-refusal buy-back clause.
Ramon’s valuation on Transfermarkt is €45m.
