The English Premier League has named Chelsea midfielder Romeo Lavia its best player from the ninth round of matches.
Lavia was recognised after helping Chelsea beat Manchester United 2-0 in the latest round. He provided the assist for Morgan Rogers to score the opening goal.
The award means four Chelsea players, including Lavia, have received the honour during the first nine rounds of the Premier League season.
Chelsea’s victory over Manchester United moved them on to 16 points and strengthened their position in fourth place in the table. They are three points behind the team in third and eight points adrift of the leaders.
Chelsea’s manager since the start of this season has been Basque coach Xabi Alonso.
