Chelsea have recorded the biggest increase in Premier League market value during the summer transfer window, with their squad valuation rising by €251m to put them top of the latest figures compiled by Transfermarkt.
Tottenham Hotspur rank second after an increase of €210m, while Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United also recorded substantial rises.
The figures show Chelsea leading the league’s market-value changes by a clear margin. Their €251m increase is €41m greater than Tottenham’s, with the London clubs occupying the top two positions in the table.
Arsenal are next, registering a €162m rise. Manchester City follow with an increase of €151m, while Manchester United’s market value has grown by €118m.
Together, the five clubs listed as recording increases account for significant movement during the summer window, with Chelsea’s change the largest of the group. Tottenham’s rise is the second biggest, ahead of Arsenal and the two Manchester clubs.
Newcastle United are at the other end of the standings. Their market value has fallen by €130m, making them the club with the largest decrease in the Premier League during the period covered by the Transfermarkt update.
The figures provide a comparison of how Premier League clubs’ market values have changed during the summer transfer window. Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur occupy the leading positions among the increases, while Newcastle United have experienced the sharpest decline.
