Chelsea remain the frontrunners to sign Bournemouth and England midfielder Alex Scott, according to The Telegraph.
The London club continue to hold an interest in the 23-year-old after Bournemouth rejected several offers for him during the summer. The latest proposal was worth more than £60m.
Chelsea are planning to strengthen their midfield in the winter transfer window and again next summer. However, Bournemouth do not intend to sell Scott during the winter window.
Scott recently made his first start for England, playing 70 minutes in the 7-0 victory over Croatia. England manager Thomas Tuchel subsequently praised the midfielder’s performance.
Liverpool and Arsenal are also interested in Scott, who joined Bournemouth in 2023. Bournemouth have attempted to extend his contract, but negotiations have made no progress.
At the end of the season, Scott will have one year remaining on his current deal.
