Chelsea defender Sarr is set to join Real Sociedad on loan after the two clubs reached a verbal agreement, according to Romano.
The proposed transfer has already been given the “here we go” confirmation, indicating that the deal is considered ready to proceed. Real Sociedad are now waiting for Sarr to arrive, while the relevant paperwork is expected to be prepared after Chelsea’s match.
Sarr will not take part in Chelsea’s game tonight because of the imminent move. With Real Sociedad expecting his arrival, the report says everything is in place for the loan to be completed.
The agreement between the clubs remains verbal at this stage, with the next step involving the preparation and completion of the necessary documents. Those documents are due to be arranged after the match, allowing the transfer process to move forward.
Sarr, 20, returned to Chelsea in February this year after his loan spell at Strasbourg ended earlier than planned. However, he has not managed to establish himself in the Chelsea team since returning to the club.
The move to Real Sociedad would give Sarr the opportunity to continue his development away from Chelsea, although the report does not provide further details about the length or terms of the loan agreement.
Real Sociedad are already anticipating the defender’s arrival, while his absence from Chelsea’s match confirms that he is not being considered for the game as the transfer advances. The deal has therefore moved beyond initial speculation, with the remaining work focused on formalising the agreement.
Romano’s confirmation means the loan is being treated as imminent, despite the paperwork still needing to be prepared. The “here we go” announcement represents the latest stage of the negotiations between Chelsea and Real Sociedad.
Sarr’s previous temporary move to Strasbourg finished prematurely before he returned to Chelsea in February. Since then, he has been unable to secure a regular place at the Blues, and the proposed switch to Real Sociedad now looks set to provide his next opportunity.
