That would be welcomed by Xabi Alonso, who has made clear since taking charge that he wants the 25-year-old Argentina international in his squad for his first campaign as Chelsea manager.

Their focus has instead shifted towards reducing the size of the squad, with just over two weeks remaining before the transfer window shuts.

Strikers and defenders on the market

Drapp is among those who could depart before the deadline. The 23-year-old forward joined Chelsea last summer for £30m and has attracted attention from clubs outside England as well as a number of Premier League sides.

Chelsea are understood to want more than £50m for Drapp. While the English striker managed only two goals in 41 appearances in all competitions during his first season in west London, the club still believes it can make a substantial profit on the player.

Nicolas Jackson is another possible departure. The 25-year-old is valued at £65m after returning from a loan spell at Bayern, with Aston Villa interested in signing him. There is reportedly interest from Jackson in joining Villa as well.

Chelsea are aiming to sell at least three strikers before the window closes. Guiu, valued at £25m, is not part of Alonso’s plans for next season, while David Datro Fofana is also set to be made available. Fofana has not appeared for Chelsea’s first team since 2023.

Mykhailo Mudryk is expected to move to Strasbourg, although Coventry City and other Premier League clubs have also shown interest. Strasbourg, owned by Chelsea’s parent company BlueCo, is viewed as a suitable destination for the Ukraine winger, who recently returned to competitive football after serving a suspension and needs regular game time.

Sadiq Fofana and Anselmino have both attracted considerable interest in potential loan moves. Chelsea are willing to let the pair leave as Alonso assesses his central-defensive options, while Sarr is understood to favour a temporary move to another Premier League club.

Tosin Adarabioyo is wanted by Benfica, where former Fulham manager Marco Silva is interested in working with the 28-year-old again. Premier League clubs are also monitoring the former Manchester City defender, and Chelsea would consider selling him for an acceptable fee, although their valuation has not been disclosed.

Benoit Badiashile has agreed in principle to join Napoli for a season-long loan. Chelsea and the Italian club have reached a provisional agreement that includes a £2.5m loan fee and a £23m option for Napoli to buy the 25-year-old at the end of the season.

Axel Disasi is also expected to leave. He has admirers in England and abroad, with Crystal Palace interested in a loan deal, but Chelsea would prefer a permanent transfer.

Gusto and Neto could also leave

Chelsea are not actively seeking to sell Gusto, but would consider a deal if an offer reached £75m. Manchester City have expressed interest in the 23-year-old France international, although the asking price has made them reluctant to proceed.

Pedro Neto could also be allowed to move on this summer. At least four Premier League clubs, including Manchester City, are interested in the 26-year-old winger. Chelsea have not revealed the fee they would require, but the market has been driven higher by Jan-Diomande’s £120m transfer to Real Madrid and Paris St-Germain’s £145m asking price for Barcola.

Omari-Kellyman is also in talks over a permanent move to Strasbourg. The 20-year-old attacker would rather play abroad than spend another season on loan in England.
