Chandrel Massanga seals move to Eyupspor as Congo midfielder steps up to Super Lig

Congo defensive midfielder Chandrel Massanga has joined Eyupspor from Hatayspor, completing a move that takes him back into the Turkish Super Lig. The 26-year-old, born in Pointe-Noire, arrives in Istanbul as a specialist holding midfielder and is set to strengthen Eyupspor’s options in front of the back four.

Massanga switches across Turkey after spending the last three seasons with Hatayspor, having first moved to the club in August 2023. During his time in the country he has already built up top-flight experience, making 53 appearances and scoring four goals in the Super Lig, alongside further outings in domestic cup competitions and the second tier.

Eyupspor’s new signing has also shown an ability to contribute in knockout football, scoring twice in four Turkiye Kupasi appearances. Across all Turkish competitions he has amassed more than 4,600 minutes on the pitch, underlining his status as a regular at senior level.

Before arriving in Turkey, Massanga made his name in Europe with FK Partizani in Albania, where he became an Albanian champion in the 2022-23 season and featured both in the league and domestic cup. That spell followed stints in his homeland with CS La Mancha, CARA and AS Otoho, plus experience in African continental tournaments including the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup.

Right-footed and 1.72m tall, Massanga is primarily a defensive midfielder and typically operates at the base of midfield. He officially joined Eyupspor on 29 July 2026, finalising a permanent move from Hatayspor.
