Nigerian left winger Baaqi Adelayo has joined Spanish club CD St. Amalia on a free transfer from San Roque Lepe.
The 25-year-old completed the move on 18 August 2026 and has signed a contract running until 30 June 2027. Adelayo’s arrival gives St. Amalia a player whose primary position is on the left side of the attack and who is comfortable using either foot.
Adelayo moves to St. Amalia after representing San Roque Lepe, with the transfer taking place without a fee. The move keeps him in Spain, where he has featured in a number of competitions across the country’s lower divisions.
His recorded appearances include matches in Segunda Federacion Groups II and III, the Copa Federation and the promotion play-offs for Segunda Federacion. Across those competitions, he has made 24 appearances and scored once, with his goal coming in the Copa Federation.
Adelayo played 10 times in Segunda Federacion Group II, registering 141 minutes, and made eight appearances in Group III for 365 minutes. He also featured in four Copa Federation matches, playing 189 minutes and scoring once, before making two promotion play-off appearances.
The winger is listed at 1.79 metres and has Nigeria as his nationality. His ability to operate on the left while using both feet forms the clearest outline of his playing profile as he begins his spell with St. Amalia.
The transfer was registered on the same day as his arrival, and his new agreement commits him to the club through the end of June 2027. St. Amalia are now the latest Spanish side to have Adelayo on their books after his spell with San Roque Lepe.
Adelayo’s previous competitive record includes appearances in both league and cup football, as well as the promotion play-offs. His only recorded goal in those competitions came during his four Copa Federation outings.
The completed deal marks a change of club for the Nigeria international, who joins CD St. Amalia as a free agent from San Roque Lepe.
