“I don’t think it will be today, nor tomorrow. I’m fairly sure of that,” he said.
Reeb added that the tribunal intended to issue its decision “as quickly as possible” after the hearing. However, the timing will depend on how long the three arbitrators need to reach an agreement and prepare their ruling.
“It could take a few days or even a few weeks if the arbitrators want to write a full decision with the legal reasons,” Reeb explained.

Senegal and Morocco must therefore continue to wait for the outcome of the case. CAS is being asked to determine the legal consequences of the events during the CAN 2025 final and rule on Senegal’s appeal against the decision that awarded the title to Morocco.
No precise date has been given for the verdict. However, the tribunal will not officially confirm the final winner of CAN 2025 on Thursday, 8 October.
