Carling Knockout Cup Round of 16 schedule confirmed

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has announced the venues, dates and kick-off times for all eight Round of 16 matches in the Carling Knockout Cup, with the first fixtures taking place this weekend.

Golden Arrows begin the action on Saturday, 24 October, when they host Chippa United at King Zwelithini Stadium. The match will kick off at 15:00.

Polokwane City will then face Siwelele FC at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium, with the second game of the day scheduled for 18:00.

Two more ties are set for Sunday, 25 October.

Kruger United will meet AmaZulu FC in the 15:00 fixture at Mbombela Stadium. Later that evening, Sekhukhune United will play Richards Bay FC at New Peter Mokaba Stadium, with kick-off at 18:00.

The remaining three matches will all be played on Tuesday, 27 October, with a 19:00 start time for each tie.

Mamelodi Sundowns will host Marumo Gallants at Loftus Versfeld, while Orlando Pirates take on Milford FC at Orlando Amstel Arena.

The third match that evening sees Kaizer Chiefs face TS Galaxy at FNB Stadium.

The Round of 16 concludes on Wednesday, 28 October, when Durban City play Stellenbosch FC at Chatsworth Stadium. That match will also start at 19:00.

Ticket details for all eight matches will be announced in due course.

Each tie will be decided over 90 minutes of normal time. If the scores are level at the final whistle, the teams will play extra time. Should the match remain drawn, the winner will be determined by a penalty shootout.

Orlando Pirates are the defending champions after beating Marumo Gallants 1-0 in last season’s final.
