Cameroon’s 2026-27 football season will begin on 17 October 2026 with the MTN Elite One, with competitions across the men’s, women’s, youth and regional game scheduled to run until July 2027.
The country’s domestic football programme will span almost nine months, with the official end of the season set for 15 July 2027.
The MTN Elite One will be the first major competition to get under way, starting on 17 October. The top flight will then pause for a mid-season break between 18 and 30 January 2027 before resuming and running through to 6 May.
The second tier, MTN Elite Two, is scheduled to begin one week after the top flight, on 24 October.
Cameroon’s regional competitions will follow, with the Regional Super League starting on 31 October and the regional championships getting under way on 7 November.
The schedule also includes a significant programme for women’s football.
The Guinness Super League and the divisional championships are both due to start on 21 November 2026. The Women’s Second Division will follow on 5 December.
Other forms of the game will also return early in 2027, with Beach Soccer, Futsal, the Corporate League and Veterans’ competitions all scheduled to begin on 2 January.
The wide-ranging calendar means Cameroon’s football season will feature competitions at several levels and across different formats, from the country’s top men’s division to regional, women’s and recreational football.
The 2026-27 campaign will officially conclude on 15 July 2027. However, there will be little time between the end of one season and the start of the next, with the 2027-28 campaign scheduled to begin just two days later, on 17 July.
The calendar currently establishes the principal dates for the various competitions but does not include the detailed match schedule.
Individual fixtures, opponents, venues and kick-off times have not yet been provided and will depend on the relevant competition draws and subsequent announcements.
The first major date for clubs and supporters is therefore 17 October, when the MTN Elite One opens the new campaign.
MTN Elite Two will follow on 24 October, while the Regional Super League starts on 31 October. Regional championships are then scheduled for 7 November.
Women’s football takes centre stage later in November, with both the Guinness Super League and divisional championships beginning on 21 November.
The Women’s Second Division starts on 5 December.
The new year will bring the return of Beach Soccer, Futsal, the Corporate League and Veterans’ competitions on 2 January 2027.
For the MTN Elite One, the mid-season break will run from 18 to 30 January, before the competition resumes for the remainder of the campaign. The top-flight season is due to finish on 6 May.
Cameroonian football will then continue through the remaining months before the current season officially closes on 15 July.
