Cameroon central midfielder Yannick Nwatsock has joined Mazarron FC from Lynx FC on a free transfer, signing a contract that runs until 30 June 2027.
Nwatsock, 27, moves to Mazarron after spending the opening part of the 2026-27 campaign with Lynx FC in the Gibraltar Football League. He made one appearance for the club, completing 90 minutes, and was shown a yellow card during his time on the pitch.
The move was completed on 3 September 2026, marking another step in a career that has included clubs in Spain and Gibraltar. Nwatsock joined Lynx from Inter Sevilla on a free transfer on 1 January 2026, having previously spent the first half of the 2025-26 season with UD Rinconada.
Before joining UD Rinconada, the midfielder played for La Palma CF, SP Villafranca and CD Badajoz B. He moved to CD Badajoz B from Jerez Industrial in January 2023, having joined Jerez Industrial from Atletico Porcuna the previous year. His earlier clubs also included AD Villaviciosa and Torreblanca CF, while he began the recorded period of his senior career with CMD San Juan.
Nwatsock’s playing position is central midfield. Standing at 1.88m, he brings experience from a series of free transfers across clubs in the lower levels of the Spanish and Gibraltar football systems.
His most recent competitive involvement came in the Gibraltar Football League, where he played once during the 2026-27 season. He had started 50% of the possible matches recorded for Lynx and played 50% of the available minutes before switching clubs.
Mazarron have secured the Cameroon international’s services without a transfer fee, with the agreement keeping him at the club through the end of June 2027. Nwatsock is now registered as a Mazarron FC player following the move from Lynx FC.
