Brentford and Bournemouth track Fiorentina defender Eddy Kouadio

Brentford and Bournemouth are monitoring Fiorentina defender Eddy Kouadio, who has impressed during a loan spell with AC Monza in Serie A.

The 20-year-old, an Italian player of Ivorian origin, has attracted attention in England with his performances in Italy’s top flight. According to Tuttomercatoweb, both Premier League clubs are following his progress closely as he continues to establish himself at senior level.

Kouadio has featured in each of the first eight rounds of the Italian championship this season, becoming an important member of the team managed by Ivan Juric. His regular involvement has underlined his development and his ability to compete in Serie A.

His progress has also earned him a call-up from Roberto Mancini to the Italy national team for Nations League matches.

The defender remains under contract with Fiorentina until 30 June 2030, meaning the Florence club will have a key role in deciding his next move. Kouadio joined Fiorentina in 2021 and worked his way through the club’s academy before making the step into professional football.

Brentford already have an established relationship with Fiorentina after signing Michael Kayode. Bournemouth are also continuing their recruitment strategy focused on young players emerging from the Italian league.

No official offer has been made and there have been no reports of advanced negotiations involving either English club. However, the interest from Brentford and Bournemouth reflects Kouadio’s rapid progress. His current market value is estimated at 6 million euros.

AC Monza’s next fixture is a ninth-round Serie A match against Napoli. The match is scheduled to take place as Kouadio’s club continues its league campaign, following his involvement in all eight of the opening rounds.
