German-Moroccan winger Brahim Moumou has joined 1860 Munich’s first team from 1860 Munchen II, completing an internal move that elevates the 25-year-old into Regionalliga Bayern football. The right-footed left winger links up with the senior side after impressing in the club’s reserve ranks.
Moumou, who stands at 1.79m, has been part of the 1860 setup for much of his career, progressing through the youth sides before moving abroad and then returning to Munich. His switch from the Bayernliga Sud to the Regionalliga Bayern marks a step up in level and status within the club.
Last season, Moumou made 23 appearances in the Bayernliga Sud for 1860 Munchen II, scoring five goals and providing six assists. That attacking output from the left flank helped the second team secure the Bayernliga South title, adding a winners’ medal to his CV and underlining his influence at that level.
Before rejoining 1860 in 2024, Moumou spent several seasons in Slovakia with STK Samorin and DAC Dunajska Streda. During that spell he featured in league football, domestic cup matches and UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying ties, gaining experience in both domestic and continental competition.
Moumou originally came through 1860’s youth system, stepping up from TSV 1860’s youth ranks to the under-17s and under-19s before his first move away from the club. His return to Munich II in 2024 has now been followed by promotion to the senior squad, confirming his rise into 1860 Munich’s first team.
