Borussia Dortmund plan contract talks to secure Serhou Guirassy’s future

Borussia Dortmund are preparing to open talks with Serhou Guirassy over a contract extension after being impressed by the Guinea international’s performances and influence within the squad.

The striker is currently contracted to the German club until June 2028, but Dortmund’s hierarchy are keen to secure his longer-term future and remove any uncertainty surrounding his position at the club.

According to journalist Ekrem Konur, Dortmund are particularly pleased with Guirassy’s contribution on the pitch and his impact in the dressing room. The club regard him as a central figure in their long-term sporting plans and want to ensure he remains part of the team for the coming seasons.

Relations between Guirassy and Dortmund are understood to be excellent, creating favourable conditions for negotiations to begin. The club’s management also sees a new agreement as a way of underlining its confidence in the striker.

Should the discussions prove successful, an extension would represent further recognition of Guirassy’s importance since establishing himself as one of the key members of the Borussia Dortmund squad.

Guirassy’s market value is estimated at 32 million euros. He earns an annual salary of 9,430,000 euros, equivalent to 6,129,500,000 FCFA.

Borussia Dortmund will soon play their fourth match of the league phase in the Champions League, when they face Real Betis.
