Bilal Nadir: Morocco-France midfielder linked with AEK Athens move

Bilal Nadir, the Morocco-France central midfielder currently without a club, is being linked with a move to Greek side AEK Athens in the Super League 1. The 22-year-old free agent, valued at around €8m as of June 2026, is understood to be on the radar of the Athens club as they look to strengthen in central midfield ahead of the new campaign.

Born in Nice in November 2003 and standing at 1.79m, Nadir is a left-footed central midfielder whose top-flight experience in France is thought to appeal to AEK’s recruitment staff. He has accumulated 40 Ligue 1 appearances, contributing one goal and four assists, and has also featured in domestic cup and European competition, including brief outings in both the UEFA Champions League and Europa League.

Nadir’s career to date has largely unfolded in the French system, with competitive minutes in Ligue 1 and at various levels of the national league structure. His record in the Coupe de France includes a goal and an assist in seven appearances, underlining his ability to impact knockout fixtures.

Having left his last club at the end of the 2025-26 season, Nadir is available on a free transfer, a factor that is likely to increase interest from clubs outside France. AEK Athens, who regularly compete at the top end of the Greek Super League, are among the clubs assessing the possibility of bringing him in, with the midfielder currently a free agent and open to offers as he considers the next step in his career.
