Bayern’s formidable home record faces Arsenal test in Champions League

Bayern will look to extend their 39-match unbeaten home run in the Champions League group stage when they host Arsenal in the competition’s third round this week.

The Allianz Arena has proved a particularly productive venue for Bayern in the group stage, where they have not lost since a 2-3 defeat by Man City in December 2013.

Since then, Bayern have played 39 home matches at this stage of the Champions League, winning 37 and drawing two. They have also won their past nine home group-stage fixtures in succession.

That record will be tested by an Arsenal side who have been equally impressive in the opening phase of the competition.

Arsenal have won their last 14 Champions League group-stage matches. Their most recent dropped points came in November 2024, when they were beaten 0-1 away by Inter.
