Bayern Munich plan gradual Jamal Musiala return after muscle injury

Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala will miss the club’s upcoming matches against Arsenal and Freiburg as he continues his recovery from a muscle injury.

The 22-year-old sustained the problem while with the Germany squad at the end of September. Although Musiala has already returned to training, Bayern are taking a cautious approach to his comeback.

According to Bayern & Germany, citing journalist Kerry Hau, Musiala could be given a small amount of playing time in Bayern’s cup match against Magdeburg on 28 October.

He could then be considered for a more significant return in the Bundesliga fixture against Borussia Dortmund on 31 October.

Musiala has made four appearances for Bayern this season, scoring two goals and providing one assist.
