Barcelona revenue breaks through €1bn mark for first time

Barcelona have recorded annual revenue of more than €1bn for the first time in the club’s history, with the record figure for the 2025-26 season revealed in financial accounts published by the club.

The result was reported by Yahoo Sports and represents a landmark financial achievement for Barcelona. The club’s accounts show that income moved beyond the €1bn threshold during a season in which several important commercial and matchday developments contributed to the increase.

The biggest factor behind the rise was the team’s return to Camp Nou in November 2025. Barcelona had been away from their traditional home while reconstruction work was carried out, but returned to the stadium during the season.

The reopening did not take place with the full capacity available. Camp Nou could accommodate 42,000 spectators because the renovation had not yet been completed. Despite that restriction, the return to the stadium was identified as the principal driver of Barcelona’s increased revenue.

The club also reported stronger sponsorship income during the 2025-26 campaign. In addition, Barcelona said sales of official merchandise through BLM reached a record level.

Those combined developments helped produce the highest annual revenue in Barcelona’s history and pushed the club beyond the €1bn mark for the first time. The result will now be presented formally to the club’s members.

Barcelona’s financial results for the season are due to be discussed at the general assembly of club members on 19 September. The meeting will provide the setting for the club to present the figures and outline the financial performance reflected in the newly published accounts.

The revenue milestone comes against the backdrop of Camp Nou’s ongoing reconstruction. Barcelona’s return in November 2025 restored the stadium as a source of matchday income, although the 42,000-seat limit remained in place because the redevelopment was still unfinished.

The accounts also underline the contribution made by the club’s commercial operations. Sponsorship income increased, while BLM recorded its best-ever sales of club merchandise, giving Barcelona additional financial growth alongside the income generated by the team’s return to Camp Nou.

The €1bn figure is therefore the product of several revenue streams during the 2025-26 season, with the stadium return, sponsorship growth and merchandise sales all highlighted by the club. Its full financial presentation will take place when Barcelona’s members meet on 19 September.
