Barcelona quartet attend Melendi concert ahead of Aston Villa Champions League clash

Four Barcelona players attended a Melendi concert on Sunday, just two days before the club’s Champions League meeting with Aston Villa.

Rodri Hernandez, Pedri Gonzalez, Lamine Yamal and Fermin Lopez were present at the show at the Palau Sant Jordi, which began at 21:00. The concert formed part of Melendi’s “Pop Rock” tour, during which the Asturian singer is performing songs from his new album, due to be released in the coming months.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the Barcelona quartet watched the performance and enjoyed some of Melendi’s best-known songs.

TVE journalist Albert Castillo was among the spectators who filmed the Barcelona players in one of the venue’s boxes. Castillo highlighted Rodri as one of the most enthusiastic supporters at the concert.

The players’ appearance in Barcelona followed their side’s 6-1 victory over Alaves on Saturday evening. The squad trained at the club’s training centre on Sunday morning, with the four players completing recovery work after starting that match.

Barcelona began their preparations on Monday for their next European fixture against Aston Villa, which takes place on Tuesday, 3 November 2026, in the fourth round of the Champions League.

The match comes after Barcelona’s emphatic domestic win, with attention now turning to their Champions League campaign and the visit of Aston Villa.
