Barcelona consider summer move for Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk

Barcelona are considering a move for Liverpool centre-back Virgil van Dijk after the end of the current season, according to El Nacional.

The 35-year-old Netherlands international is viewed by the Spanish club as a potentially suitable defensive partner for Pau Cubarsi.

Van Dijk has played nine matches in all competitions this season and has not recorded a goal or an assist.

His current contract with Liverpool runs until the summer of 2027, although it is unlikely to be extended.
