Atletico Madrid are hoping to complete a new contract for Marc Pubill before the end of the year, according to transfer journalist Moretto.
The club have made an initial offer and are preparing a second proposal as they seek to retain the defender.
Pubill is also keen to remain at Atletico, with the proposed agreement expected to include both a salary increase and an extension to his current contract.
