Arsenal have renewed their strategic partnership with Emirates in a long-term agreement that will keep the airline associated with the club until 2033.
The deal secures the continuation of the Emirates branding on Arsenal’s first-team shirts and training wear, while also retaining the company’s naming rights to Emirates Stadium. The partnership, which began in 2006, is regarded as one of the longest-running and most prominent commercial relationships in football.
Emirates will remain Arsenal’s shirt sponsor under the new agreement, extending what the club describes as the longest shirt-sponsorship partnership in Premier League history. The renewal takes the relationship between the two organisations into a new phase, with both sides committing to continue their work together for another seven years.
The announcement comes after Arsenal’s Premier League title success. The club sees the agreement as an important part of supporting its ambitions for the years ahead and building on progress made both on and off the pitch.
Arsenal chief executive Richard Garlick said: “Winning the Premier League is an exceptional moment in the history of the club, and Emirates has been an essential partner on this journey, standing alongside us through the different stages we have experienced over the past two decades.”
He added: “Renewing the partnership reflects both parties’ belief in Arsenal’s future and our shared desire to continue developing and achieving further success.”
Sir Tim Clark, president of Emirates, said the relationship had developed beyond a conventional sponsorship arrangement. He said Arsenal and the airline had created a distinctive experience for millions of the club’s supporters around the world during their years of collaboration.
The partnership, he added, had helped strengthen Arsenal’s global reach and enabled the two organisations to deliver fan initiatives and experiences that would not have been possible without their cooperation. Emirates is looking forward to continuing to write a new chapter in its history with the London club, he said.
The club and airline are expected to mark the 20th anniversary of their partnership during the coming weeks. A series of events and activities for supporters is planned, alongside the release of a new promotional film highlighting key moments from the relationship.
Former Arsenal captain and Germany international Per Mertesacker will feature in the film, which will look back at the main stages of the partnership since its launch.
The next phase of the agreement will begin as Arsenal host Borussia Dortmund in the Emirates Cup. The friendly tournament will take place at Emirates Stadium, where special celebrations are planned to mark the occasion.
The renewed arrangement preserves the central features of the existing partnership while linking the club’s commercial future with the next stage of its sporting ambitions. It also ensures that Emirates will continue to have a prominent presence across Arsenal’s matchday and training operations as the relationship moves towards its third decade.
