Arsenal set European benchmark with 18 one-goal wins over past two seasons

Arsenal have recorded 18 victories by a one-goal margin over the past two seasons more than any other club from Europe’s five leading domestic leagues, according to statistics provider Squawka Football.

Mikel Arteta’s side added to that total in their latest match, edging past Nottingham Forest 1-0 in the seventh round of the English league season.

The game produced few chances. Arsenal did not manage a shot on target until the 70th minute and ultimately recorded only one effort on target throughout the match. Nottingham Forest were also limited in attack, registering two shots on target.

Arsenal, who won the English league title last season, are currently second in the table. They trail leaders Manchester City by 3 points.
