English-Nigerian midfielder Ethan Nwaneri is the subject of a reported move from Arsenal to Borussia Dortmund, with the Bundesliga club linked with a transfer for the 19-year-old attacking midfielder.
The rumour is currently rated at 36%, while Nwaneri’s market value is listed at €35m. He remains under contract with Arsenal until 30 June 2030, meaning any potential deal would require the clubs to negotiate a transfer fee rather than wait for his contract to expire.
Nwaneri has yet to make an appearance for Arsenal in the 2026-27 Premier League season or the Community Shield. He returned to the north London club on 30 June after spending the second half of the 2025-26 campaign on loan at Marseille, a spell that involved a €1.5m loan fee.
The midfielder joined Arsenal’s senior setup from the club’s under-21 side in July 2024. He was part of the Arsenal team that won the English title in the 2025-26 season and was also a European Under-21 champion with England in 2025.
Nwaneri’s current status means Arsenal retain control of his future, with the teenager’s long-term contract extending through to 2030. Dortmund’s reported interest comes as he begins the new campaign at Arsenal following his return from France.
