Arnaud Kalimuendo, the France and DR Congo centre-forward currently at Nottingham Forest, is being linked with a return to Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga. The 24-year-old, whose Forest contract runs until 30 June 2030, is attracting renewed interest from the German club after spending the second half of last season on loan there.
Frankfurt took Kalimuendo on loan from Forest in January 2026, paying a reported €1.5m fee, and the striker went on to make 19 Bundesliga appearances, scoring six goals. His impact in Germany has prompted suggestions that Frankfurt are exploring the possibility of bringing him back on a longer-term basis this summer.
Kalimuendo joined Forest from Stade Rennais in August 2025 in a deal worth €30m, arriving in the Premier League with a strong reputation from Ligue 1, where he scored 53 goals in 156 appearances. However, he has so far struggled for minutes in England, featuring only briefly in the league for Forest before being allowed to leave on loan.
A former Paris Saint-Germain forward, Kalimuendo has already experienced success at the top level, having been part of a PSG squad that won the French title in 2021-22. His current market value is listed at €25m, a figure that would likely form the basis of any negotiation between Forest and Frankfurt over a permanent transfer.
With four years remaining on his deal at the City Ground, Forest are under no pressure to sell, and any move would require Frankfurt to reach an agreement with the Premier League club over both fee and structure.
