Equatorial Guinea head coach Vincenzo Alberto Annese has finalised his technical and medical staff as the Nzalang Nacional prepare for their upcoming international assignments.
Annese has assembled a support team with experience in European and international football, covering physical preparation, goalkeeping, tactical analysis, medical care and player recovery.
Alberto Lungherini has been appointed fitness coach and will oversee the team’s physical conditioning, injury prevention and recovery programmes.
Lungherini brings experience from clubs including Spezia, Persija Jakarta and Paradou AC.
Emiliano Betti has been named goalkeeper coach. The Italian has previously worked with AC Milan, Fiorentina, Empoli and Carrarese and will be responsible for the development of Equatorial Guinea’s goalkeepers.
Andrea Lagna joins the coaching staff as match analyst. Trained at Coverciano and currently working with Empoli Primavera, Lagna will focus on opposition scouting, tactical analysis and match preparation using video and data.
The medical department will be led by Dr Valdo Cesareo, who has been appointed team doctor.
Daniele Misseri and Marco Sabatini will work as physiotherapy specialists. Misseri has previous experience with Fiorentina, Lazio and Empoli, while Sabatini has worked with Arezzo, Montevarchi and Sangiovannese.
Casto Nopo Abesó completes the coaching structure as assistant coach, bringing experience from domestic football.
The appointments give Annese a broader support structure around the Nzalang Nacional as the coach prepares the team for its next international challenges.
The new setup is expected to provide greater support across tactical preparation, physical conditioning, injury management and player development as Equatorial Guinea moves into its next phase under Annese.
