Amin Adli scored his first Premier League goal of the season in the fifth minute of stoppage time as Bournemouth beat Leeds United 2-0 on Saturday.
The Morocco international, who came on as a substitute in the 88th minute, finished off the result in the closing moments after Leeds had been unable to find a way back into the match.
Bournemouth had taken the lead in the 31st minute after a mistake by Leeds goalkeeper James Trafford while taking a goal kick. The ball reached Justin Kluivert, who laid it off to Evanilson, and the Brazilian forward made no mistake from close range.
Leeds pressed for an equaliser during the second half, but Bournemouth defended their advantage before Adli delivered the decisive moment in the 90th minute plus five.
The goal was Adli’s third for Bournemouth in all competitions this season. He had previously scored against Milan in the Europa League and Aston Villa in the English League Cup before adding a Premier League goal against Leeds.
Bournemouth’s victory was their sixth in succession across all competitions. They have also kept a clean sheet in each of those matches.
The result moved Bournemouth to 12 points and seventh place in the Premier League table, while Leeds remained on 11 points in ninth.
