Amad Diallo Traore said reaching 100 appearances for Manchester United was a “source of immense pride and an honour” after starting Sunday’s 1-1 Premier League draw away to Leeds United.
The milestone was reached as the 100th match of his Manchester United career, and the player reflected on the occasion in a message shared on social media after the game.
“100 matches in a Manchester United shirt. A source of immense pride and an honour I will never take for granted,” Amad wrote.
He also thanked those who had supported him during his time at the club, including his team-mates, staff and supporters.
“Thank you to my teammates, the staff, and the fans who have been with me on this journey,” he added. “Wearing this shirt means representing a rich history and giving my absolute best in every single match.”
Amad said his ambitions extend beyond reaching a particular number of appearances, with winning silverware for Manchester United now his primary objective.
“But my ambition doesn’t stop at a number of appearances: I want to win trophies with this club,” he said. “Together with my teammates, I want us to build something we can be proud ofand to give our fans the emotions they truly deserve.”
