Morocco centre-forward Abdelilah Mouatassim has joined Saudi Arabian club Al-Sharq Club from USM Oujda on a free transfer.
The 26-year-old has signed a contract running until 30 June 2027, beginning his time with Al-Sharq on 1 August 2026. Mouatassim becomes the latest step in a career that has taken him through clubs in Morocco before his move to Saudi Arabia.
Mouatassim made three appearances for USM Oujda in the Coupe du Trone Marocaine, scoring once and playing 199 minutes in the competition. His final season with the Moroccan club preceded his switch to Al-Sharq, with the transfer completed without a fee.
The forward joined USM Oujda in January 2025 after leaving KACM Marrakech, also on a free transfer. He had spent the first part of that season with KACM after moving from Wafa Driouch in August 2024.
His previous clubs also include El-Mansour, whom he joined from Wafa Driouch in July 2023, and KACM Marrakech, where he began his senior career after progressing from KAC Marrakech’s youth setup. He returned to KACM in July 2022 before moving on to El-Mansour.
Born in Marrakech on 22 January 2000, Mouatassim stands 1.77 metres tall and is right-footed. He joins Al-Sharq as a central striker, having played primarily in the centre-forward position throughout his recorded club career.
The move takes Mouatassim outside Morocco for the first time in his senior career, following spells with KACM Marrakech, El-Mansour, Wafa Driouch and USM Oujda. Al-Sharq have secured his services on a free transfer, with the agreement in place through June 2027.
