Al-Sadd are closely monitoring Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli, with the Qatar-based club aware that the Premier League side value the Brazil international at more than €50m.
The interest from Al-Sadd adds to growing speculation over Martinelli’s future at Arsenal, where the winger has also attracted attention from other clubs in the Middle East.
According to journalist Matteo Moretto, Al-Sadd are keeping a close watch on the 24-year-old’s situation. Arsenal are understood to be prepared to consider a sale if a sufficiently attractive offer is made, but their valuation currently stands above the €50m mark.
Martinelli’s position at Arsenal has been the subject of transfer discussion in recent reports. The Brazilian remains contracted to the club, but the possibility of a departure has emerged if another side is willing to meet the Gunners’ financial demands.
Galatasaray have also previously shown interest in Martinelli. However, the winger has made it clear that he does not want to play in Turkey, meaning a move to the Turkish club is not currently an option from the player’s perspective.
That stance could leave Al-Sadd and other Middle Eastern clubs in a stronger position should they decide to make a formal approach. No agreement has been reported, and Al-Sadd’s interest remains at the monitoring stage.
Martinelli joined Arsenal from Ituano in 2019 and has established himself as an important attacking option for the club. His pace and ability to operate from the left flank have made him a prominent part of Arsenal’s forward line.
The latest developments are likely to keep attention on whether Arsenal receive an offer that matches their valuation. Any potential move would also depend on Martinelli’s preference, with the player having already ruled out a switch to Turkey.
Arsenal’s reported willingness to listen to offers does not mean a transfer is imminent. For now, the club’s position is that Martinelli would cost more than €50m, while Al-Sadd continue to assess the possibility of pursuing the Brazil winger.
