Al-Masry sign Moroccan defender Abdullah Al-Zayani on four-year contract

Egyptian club Al-Masry have completed the signing of Moroccan defender Abdullah Al-Zayani on a four-year contract as they continue preparations for the upcoming season.

The Port Said-based club reached an agreement to bring in the Hassania Agadir player after finalising the financial details of the transfer, adding a new defensive option to their squad.

According to information obtained by Kora Plus from a reliable source, Al-Masry officials concluded negotiations with their Moroccan counterparts over the permanent transfer of Al-Zayani, with the player set to remain at the Egyptian club until 2029.

The deal forms part of Al-Masry’s efforts to strengthen their squad ahead of the new campaign, with the club looking to build a competitive team capable of achieving their targets.

Al-Zayani is expected to arrive in Egypt within the next few hours before joining his new team-mates at the club’s closed training camp currently being held in Ismailia.

The Moroccan defender will undergo preparations with the squad as head coach and technical staff continue assessing their options before the start of official competitions.

The signing of Al-Zayani represents another move by Al-Masry to reinforce their squad during the summer transfer period.

The club had previously focused on maintaining stability within the current group by extending the contracts of several important players whose agreements were due to expire at the end of the season.

Among the players who renewed their contracts were Baher El Mohamady, Amr Saadawy, Mohamed El Shamy, Karim Bambo, Mahmoud Hamada, Hassan Ali and Essam Tharwat.

Those contract renewals ensured that Al-Masry retained key members of their squad while also allowing the club to add new faces through the transfer market.

Al-Zayani’s arrival is expected to provide additional depth and competition within the team, with the Moroccan player bringing experience from his time in Moroccan football.

The agreement was completed after Al-Masry paid the required financial compensation to secure the defender’s services, allowing the club to complete the transfer process.

With the player now set to travel to Egypt, attention will turn towards his integration into the squad and his preparations for the upcoming season.

Al-Masry’s management has been active in the transfer market as they aim to improve the team while maintaining continuity among their existing players.

The four-year agreement demonstrates the club’s confidence in Al-Zayani’s abilities and their belief that he can play an important role in their future plans.

As preparations continue at the Ismailia camp, the Moroccan defender will look to make a strong impression and earn his place within the team ahead of the new campaign.

For Al-Masry, the signing represents another step in their strategy of combining experienced players with new additions as they prepare for the challenges ahead.
