Al-Ittihad have reportedly reached an agreement with Feyenoord to sign Algeria winger Anis Hadj Moussa on a four-year contract until 2030.
According to Saudi media reports, the 24-year-old is set to become Al-Ittihad’s fifth signing of the summer transfer window after an impressive campaign with Feyenoord in the Netherlands.
Al-Ittihad had identified Hadj Moussa as a target as they looked to replace former France international Moussa Diaby, who completed his move to Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday.
Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadiya reported that an agreement has been reached between Al-Ittihad and Feyenoord for the Algeria international. The value of the transfer has not been disclosed.
French outlet Foot Mercato had previously reported that Al-Ittihad submitted a €30 million offer for Hadj Moussa.
Hadj Moussa attracted European interest
The winger enjoyed a standout season with Feyenoord, making 40 appearances across all competitions.
He scored 14 goals and provided seven assists, establishing himself as one of the Dutch club’s most effective attacking players.
His performances attracted interest from several European clubs, including French sides Lille and Marseille and Portuguese giants Sporting CP.
However, none of those approaches resulted in a completed transfer, with Al-Ittihad now reportedly winning the race for his signature.
The proposed move would give Hadj Moussa the opportunity to continue his development in the Saudi Pro League while taking on an important role in Al-Ittihad’s revamped attack.
Al-Ittihad continue summer recruitment
Hadj Moussa’s arrival would add to an active summer of recruitment for the Saudi club.
Al-Ittihad have already brought in left-back Fares Abdi from Neom, midfielders Rakan Kaabi from Al-Fayha and Mokhtar Ali from Al-Ettifaq, as well as Senegalese midfielder Dion Lopy from Almeria.
The club are reshaping their squad following Diaby’s departure, with Hadj Moussa viewed as a player capable of providing goals and creativity from the wide areas.
While the agreement with Feyenoord has reportedly been reached, the transfer is yet to be officially announced.
If completed, Hadj Moussa would become the latest Algeria international to make the move to the Saudi Pro League and would be expected to play a prominent role in Al-Ittihad’s plans through to 2030.
