Egyptian centre-back Ahmed El Sharkawi has joined Dayrout SC from Cleopatra U23 on a free transfer, completing the move on 15 August 2026.
The 21-year-old defender becomes a Dayrout SC player after spending the previous season with Cleopatra U23. El Sharkawi moved to Cleopatra from Alexandria U21 on 1 July 2025, making the switch during the 2025-26 campaign.
El Sharkawi’s recorded competitive experience includes one appearance in the Egyptian League Cup, in which he played one minute. He has operated primarily as a centre-back, the position in which he is listed following his move to Dayrout SC.
The transfer takes the Egypt-born defender into a new phase of his club career after his time in the youth set-up at Alexandria and with Cleopatra’s under-23 side. His move to Dayrout SC is the latest step in a progression through Egyptian football’s development teams.
Dayrout SC have completed the deal without paying a transfer fee, with El Sharkawi leaving Cleopatra U23 to join the club on 15 August.
