Morocco centre-back Adil Tahif has joined RS Berkane from Umm Salal SC, returning to the club where he won the CAF Confederation Cup and Moroccan league title in the 2024-25 season.
The 25-year-old defender has signed a contract with the Botola Pro Inwi side until 30 June 2028. Tahif previously left Berkane for Umm Salal on a free transfer in July 2025, but has now made a swift return to Morocco.
Tahif made 15 appearances in Qatar’s Stars League during his spell with Umm Salal and also featured in four QSL Cup matches, scoring once and providing an assist. His experience abroad followed a productive first period with Berkane, where he established himself in domestic and continental competition.
Before moving to Qatar, Tahif played 93 matches in the Botola Pro Inwi, scoring four goals and registering two assists. He also made 23 appearances in the CAF Confederation Cup, finding the net three times.
The defender’s first spell with Berkane included the club’s 2024-25 CAF Confederation Cup triumph and Moroccan championship success. He also helped the side win the Moroccan Cup in the 2022-23 season.
Tahif began his senior career with SCC Mohammedia after leaving CD Leganes B in 2021. He joined Berkane in September 2022 and spent three seasons with the club before moving to Umm Salal.
Born in Casablanca, Tahif is a right-footed centre-back who stands 1.81m tall. He has also represented Morocco at Olympic level and was part of the team that won a bronze medal at the 2024 Games.
His return gives RS Berkane a defender with experience in Moroccan domestic football, African competition and the Qatari game. Tahif’s completed move back to RS Berkane is secured by a contract running until June 2028.
