AC Milan have completed the signing of Belgium winger Diego Moreira from Strasbourg, with the 22-year-old agreeing a contract that will keep him at the Italian club until 30 June 2031.
The move was confirmed by AC Milan through the club’s official channels. Moreira will wear the number 22 shirt for the Rossoneri, who have committed to a long-term agreement with the attacking player.
Reports in the media had previously suggested that the transfer would cost AC Milan €45m. That figure was reported before the move was officially announced by the club.
Moreira arrives in Italy after two years with Strasbourg, having joined the French club in 2024. During his time there, he made 76 appearances, scoring seven goals and providing 16 assists for his team-mates.
His record at Strasbourg includes a significant contribution in the final third, with 23 direct goal involvements across his 76 matches through goals and assists. He now leaves France to continue his career with AC Milan, where he has signed terms stretching through to the summer of 2031.
Before establishing himself at Strasbourg, Moreira was part of the Chelsea system and also spent time with Lyon. His path through those clubs preceded his spell in Strasbourg, where he accumulated the majority of his senior experience listed in the announcement.
Moreira is also a Belgium international winger. His arrival gives AC Milan another player capable of operating in wide attacking areas, while the length of his contract underlines the club’s commitment to the 22-year-old.
The transfer brings to an end Moreira’s time with Strasbourg, for whom he played 76 times after joining in 2024. Across those appearances, he found the net seven times and created 16 goals for team-mates.
AC Milan have not provided any further details beyond confirming the transfer, the duration of the contract and Moreira’s squad number. The €45m valuation remains information previously reported by the media rather than a figure stated in the club’s official announcement.
Moreira will therefore begin the next stage of his career in Milan after progressing through Chelsea’s system, playing for Lyon and making his mark at Strasbourg. His new deal runs until 30 June 2031, and he will represent AC Milan in the number 22 shirt.
