Senegal Football Federation president Abdoulaye Fall is expected to appear before Dakar’s Urban Security unit as part of an investigation into alleged corruption surrounding his election, according to reports in Senegalese media.
The development was reported by L’Observateur, which said the Dakar Urban Security unit had resumed investigations into allegations of vote-buying and promises of improper benefits linked to the 2025 FSF presidential election.
Fall is expected to be questioned alongside several people close to him, with Seneweb reporting that Moustapha Bitèye is among those scheduled to appear before investigators. The investigation stems from a complaint filed by Mamadou Kandji against Fall and several other individuals over alleged attempts to influence the election through financial inducements.
The allegations concern the FSF election held in August 2025, when Fall was elected president after defeating Mady Touré in the second round.
The election has remained subject to a separate legal challenge from Touré, who contested the process and alleged irregularities including vote-buying.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAS) ruled on August 21, 2026 that Touré’s appeal had been wrongly declared inadmissible by the FSF’s electoral appeals commission. It ordered the commission to reconsider the case on its merits. The ruling did not annul Fall’s election, meaning he remains FSF president while the domestic review proceeds.
The corruption allegations have also featured in Senegalese media reports, with material purportedly linked to the case circulating publicly
The latest police investigation therefore adds a new legal dimension to the continuing dispute surrounding Fall’s election.
The Dakar Urban Security unit is expected to conduct a series of hearings as investigators examine the allegations and the circumstances surrounding the 2025 FSF presidential vote.
