Internazionale winger Spence congratulated Harry Kane on social media after the England captain won the Ballon d’Or at the London Palladium last night.
Spence shared a photograph of Kane holding the award and wrote: “My captain ❤️🐐.”
The pair have developed a close relationship through their connections with England and Tottenham Hotspur. They were both involved in England’s run at the last World Cup, where the team finished third after being denied at a crucial moment by a header from Lautaro.
Kane and Spence have also both represented Tottenham Hotspur, although they did not play for the club during the same season.
Spence moved to Internazionale last summer and used social media to offer a personal message to Kane following the striker’s Ballon d’Or success.
