Juventus fear Francisco Conceicao could miss around a month after suffering a suspected dislocated shoulder during Sunday’s 3-0 home defeat by Lazio.
The Portugal international is due to undergo examinations at JMedical on Monday, with the club concerned that the injury could keep him out until the November international break if the diagnosis is confirmed.
Juventus were comfortably beaten at the Allianz Stadium, where Oliver Provstgaard, Gustav Isaksen and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru scored to give Lazio a convincing victory. The result moved Gennaro Gattuso’s side back to the top of the Serie A standings alongside Inter.
The Bianconeri, meanwhile, are now eight points behind the leaders after seven matches of the 2026-27 league season.
Sunday’s defeat leaves Juventus in a weaker position than they were at the same stage of last season. Their current record after seven games is also worse than it was before former head coach Igor Tudor was dismissed.
Reports in La Gazzetta dello Sport on Monday said Juventus were particularly concerned by the nature of Conceicao’s injury. The winger will be assessed at the club’s medical centre to establish whether his shoulder has been dislocated and determine the length of his absence.
Juventus already have several players unavailable. Kenan Yildiz is out, while midfielders Khephren Thuram and Manuel Locatelli are also missing.
Jeff Ekhator, Arkadiusz Milik and Kamil Grabara were unavailable for the match against Lazio.
