Getafe president Angel Torres has confirmed the club is considering a move for former Real Madrid and Spain defender Sergio Ramos.
Torres said he had already held talks with Ramos’ brother and agent, Rene Ramos, about the possibility of bringing the centre-back to the club.
However, Torres stressed that signing Ramos is not currently Getafe’s main priority. The club’s immediate focus is strengthening its attacking flanks.
Ramos, 39, played his last competitive match for Mexican club Monterrey in December 2025. His contract expired at the end of that year, leaving him without a club since 1 January.
Despite his age, Ramos has not yet decided to retire and remains open to continuing his playing career.
A move to Getafe would see him reunited with former Real Madrid team-mate Dani Carvajal, who joined the La Liga club last week.
