Algeria host Niger in their third and final match of the international break on Tuesday, with the friendly kicking off at 19:00 French time and 18:00 in Algeria.
The game will be played at the Hocine Ait Ahmed Stadium in Tizi-Ouzou, where the crowd could be sparse. No broadcaster has been announced in France, while coverage in Algeria will be provided by ENTV, the terrestrial channel, as well as Canal Algerie and TV6.
The match comes after Algeria’s opening two fixtures in qualifying for CAN 2027 and will conclude the first international gathering of the Brahim Hemdani era.
The Fennecs began the break with a 3-1 victory over Zambia in Tizi-Ouzou on 25 September, before drawing 2-2 with Burundi in Bujumbura four days later.
Hemdani’s side will be seeking a more convincing performance against Niger, particularly after their difficult start in Burundi. Algeria found themselves 2-0 down after only 12 minutes in that match.
The team will be without several players for the final fixture. Rayan Ait-Nouri has been suspended, while Nabil Bentaleb, Amine Gouiri, Anis Hadj Moussa and Adem Zorgane are all injured.
Those absences could give Hemdani the opportunity to test different options and hand playing time to players who have not featured during the international break.
Sohaib Nair, Zineddine Belaid, Abdelatif Ramdane and new arrival Adil Bourabaa could all be given the chance to make an impression. Monsef Bakrar, who has returned to the squad, also has plenty at stake.
Himad Abdelli and Samir Chergui had been doubts earlier in the week, but both have trained normally with the group and are available for the match.
Ramy Bensebaini is also fit to play after a false report suggested he had withdrawn from the squad.
Algeria have won their past seven meetings with Niger. Their most recent victory against the Mena came on 27 March 2023, when they won 0-1 in Rades, Tunisia, in qualifying for CAN 2023.
