Enppi have rejected reports suggesting that two of their players are close to joining Al Ahly, with the club’s sporting director stating that no formal approach has been made.
Recent speculation had linked both Hamed Abdullah and Aktai Abdullah with a potential move to Al Ahly during the upcoming summer transfer window. However, Enppi have sought to clarify the situation, insisting that discussions have not progressed beyond rumours.
Speaking in televised remarks, Mohamed Ismail addressed the reports directly. He said: “No club has contacted us to sign Aktai or Hamed Abdullah, and we have not set prices for selling them.”
Strong season for Enppi
Ismail also reflected on the club’s overall performance this season, describing it as largely successful. He said: “Enppi had a great season and we achieved 90% of the things we wanted to achieve, and Hamza El Gamal, the technical staff and the young players made a very great effort.”
The comments underline a sense of stability within the club, with management keen to highlight the contributions of both coaching staff and emerging players in achieving their objectives.
Bonus structure and internal policy
Addressing questions about incentives, Ismail clarified that the club did not introduce special bonuses for high-profile fixtures against leading teams such as Al Ahly, Zamalek and Pyramids FC.
He explained: “We did not set special bonuses for winning matches against Zamalek, Al-Ahly and Pyramids, and there is a list that was set before the start of the coronation stage and the bonuses are progressive.”
This structured approach reflects a broader policy aimed at maintaining consistency in player motivation across all matches, rather than focusing on individual high-profile encounters.
Clarification over Kahraba’s situation
Ismail also addressed speculation surrounding Mahmoud Kahraba, dismissing suggestions that the player had been absent from training.
He said: “Kahraba has not stopped training, and all of this is just talk from social media. Kahraba’s participation for a few minutes is normal because he needs to regain his form, and we signed him because he is one of the club’s own.”
The remarks suggest that the player remains part of the club’s plans, with his limited playing time attributed to a gradual return to full fitness rather than disciplinary or performance-related issues.
Transfer rumours remain unsubstantiated
Enppi’s response highlights the gap between speculation and official negotiations, particularly during periods of heightened transfer activity. While links to Al Ahly have generated attention, the club maintains that no concrete discussions have taken place regarding the future of its players.
With the summer transfer window approaching, further developments may emerge, but for now, Enppi’s position is clear: their key players remain under contract, and no offers have been received.
