Liverpool winger Rio Ngumoha has reportedly attracted interest from Paris St-Germain as the 18-year-old continues to establish himself in the club’s first team.
The England-Nigeria eligible forward has already appeared in all three competitions available to Liverpool this season, underlining his growing involvement at senior level.
Ngumoha has made three Premier League appearances, one Champions League appearance and one EFL Cup appearance during the campaign. He has started Liverpool’s matches in the Champions League and EFL Cup, while also starting 25% of the club’s league games.
The reported interest from French champions Paris St-Germain comes despite Ngumoha being under contract at Anfield until June 2028. Liverpool therefore have no immediate contractual requirement to sell the teenager, with more than a year remaining on his current agreement after the end of this season.
No transfer fee has been attached to the reported PSG interest, and there is also no stated probability of a move taking place.
Ngumoha’s current market value is listed at €30m, although that figure does not represent a reported offer from PSG or indicate that Liverpool have placed a specific asking price on the player.
The teenager joined Liverpool’s first-team setup from the club’s under-18 side in July 2025, following his move into the Liverpool academy from Chelsea’s youth system the previous year.
His transfer from Chelsea to Liverpool’s under-18 team in September 2024 was recorded at €3.2m.
Born in London, Ngumoha is eligible to play international football for both England and Nigeria. His dual eligibility adds another dimension to his development as he continues to make progress at club level.
His recent opportunities with Liverpool have come across domestic and European competition.
Ngumoha has played 100 minutes in the Premier League this season, with a further 60 minutes in the Champions League and 72 minutes in the EFL Cup. His involvement across the three competitions has given him exposure to different levels of senior football despite his age.
His Champions League and EFL Cup starts are particularly notable as Liverpool continue to introduce him to first-team football.
The winger’s progression follows his move from Chelsea’s academy to Liverpool in September 2024. Within less than a year, he had moved from Liverpool’s youth ranks into the first-team setup, completing a rapid rise through the club.
Ngumoha is primarily a left winger and has continued to receive senior opportunities as Liverpool’s season has progressed.
The reported PSG interest comes at a point when the teenager is gaining experience rather than remaining solely part of Liverpool’s youth structure. His appearances in the Premier League, Champions League and EFL Cup have placed him increasingly within the first-team picture.
For Liverpool, his contract until June 2028 provides the club with a long-term agreement as his development continues. There is consequently no immediate contractual pressure to make a decision on his future.
For Ngumoha, the focus remains on building his experience at senior level after making the transition from Liverpool’s under-18 side.
His appearances this season have included starts in European and domestic cup competition, alongside Premier League involvement, while the reported interest from PSG provides further attention around the young winger.
With no transfer fee or likelihood of a move specified in the report, the link currently represents reported interest rather than a confirmed transfer development.
Ngumoha’s next stage of development will therefore take place against the backdrop of continued first-team opportunities at Liverpool, his long-term contract at Anfield and reported attention from Paris St-Germain.
