Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe has reached a verbal agreement with Schalke 04 over a move to the German club, with the proposed contract running until June 2028 and including an option for a further season.
The agreement between the 27-year-old midfielder and Schalke 04 is understood to be fully concluded, according to information from Florian Plettenberg. However, the transfer cannot yet be completed because Schalke must still reach an agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt, Dina Ebimbe’s current club.
Negotiations between Schalke 04 and Eintracht Frankfurt are already at an advanced stage. A positive outcome could be reached in the coming days, provided the remaining details between the two clubs are settled.
Dina Ebimbe remains under contract with Eintracht Frankfurt until 30 June 2027. Although personal terms have been agreed with Schalke, the player’s future therefore still depends on the two clubs finalising the transfer.
For Schalke, the proposed signing would bring Bundesliga experience to an area of the squad they want to strengthen. The club are looking to reinforce their midfield with a player who is already accustomed to competing at the highest level in Germany.
Dina Ebimbe’s familiarity with the Bundesliga is regarded as a significant advantage as Schalke assess the deal. His existing experience in the competition would allow him to join the club without needing to adapt to a new league or country.
According to Transfermarkt estimates, the Cameroon international is currently valued at 6 million euros. That figure reflects his standing in the market as Schalke continue discussions with Eintracht Frankfurt over the terms of a possible transfer.
Unless there is an unexpected change in the negotiations, Dina Ebimbe’s move to Schalke 04 appears to be progressing well. The player has already agreed the main points of a contract with the club, while the outstanding issue is an agreement between Schalke and Eintracht Frankfurt.
Dina Ebimbe currently earns an annual income of 720,000 euros, equivalent to 468,000,000 CFA francs. His proposed Schalke contract would run through June 2028, with the option of extending it for one additional season.
The next stage of the process is therefore focused on the club-to-club talks. With those negotiations described as very advanced, the transfer could be completed in the next few days if the final details are resolved.
