Tunisia goalkeeper Wassim Maghzaoui has joined ES Zarzis from domestic rivals Club Africain, signing a contract with the Ligue 1 side until 30 June 2029. The 22-year-old moves within the Tunisian top flight as Zarzis reinforce their goalkeeping department with a long-term addition.
Maghzaoui, who stands at 1.88m and is right-footed, arrives at his new club having been on the books at Tunis giants Club Africain. His switch to Zarzis was completed on 27 July 2026, with the length of the deal underlining the club’s commitment to making him a central part of their plans over the coming seasons.
Born on 3 January 2004, Maghzaoui fits the profile of a modern goalkeeper in terms of age and physical profile, and his move keeps him in a familiar competitive environment in Ligue 1. Remaining in Tunisia’s top division allows him to continue his development against opponents he already knows, while offering Zarzis increased stability in a key position.
ES Zarzis have now secured Maghzaoui’s services for the next three years, with the Tunisian stopper formally registered as a new player for the club from 27 July 2026.
