Senegal defender Mamadou Diagne has joined Iraqi side Al-Ramadi from league rivals Golan SC, becoming the club’s latest addition at left-back.
Diagne, 25, makes the switch within the Iraq Stars League, where he had been on the books at Golan following his move there in September 2025. The transfer is a completed deal and sees Al-Ramadi add a tall, right-footed option on the left side of their defence, with the 1.87m full-back also capable of operating across the back line if required.
The left-back has built his career through spells in North Africa and the Middle East, moving to Iraq after stints in Morocco with Union Touarga, Khemisset and AS Sale. He first left Senegalese side Africa Foot in 2021 to join Union Touarga, before subsequent moves took him across the Moroccan leagues and then on to Mosul SC in Iraq in January 2025.
While in Morocco, Diagne featured in the Coupe du Trone, making a full 90-minute appearance in the competition, and later continued his development with regular club football before heading to Iraq. His time at Mosul SC ended with a free transfer to Golan SC, from where Al-Ramadi have now recruited him.
Diagne’s arrival gives Al-Ramadi a new specialist in his main position of left-back, following the confirmation of his move from Golan SC on 25 July 2026.
