Tunisia strengthen youth ranks with latest dual-nationality recruit

Dortmund prospect joins national setup as federation intensifies talent strategy

Tunisia national football team have continued their push to secure emerging dual-nationality players, successfully recruiting teenage forward Adam Braham to their youth ranks.

The move comes as part of a broader strategy by the Tunisian Football Federation to strengthen the long-term future of the national team by attracting promising players eligible to represent multiple countries.

Dortmund youngster adds to Tunisia’s future plans

Braham, aged 15, is currently developing within the youth system of Borussia Dortmund, where he plays at under-17 level. He has recently attracted attention after scoring a decisive goal in his latest appearance, underlining his potential as a forward.

Operating as a central striker, Braham is noted for his physical presence, standing at 1.88 metres, as well as his technical ability and instinct in front of goal. These attributes have positioned him as a promising prospect for the future.

His recruitment is particularly significant given his eligibility to represent multiple nations. Braham holds Tunisian, German and Polish citizenship, meaning he had several international options available before aligning with Tunisia’s setup.

He also carries a notable footballing heritage, as the son of Najeh Braham, who was part of Tunisia’s victorious squad at the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations. His decision is therefore seen as a continuation of a family connection to the national team.

Second recruitment in quick succession

Braham’s inclusion follows closely on the announcement of another young addition to Tunisia’s ranks. Just one day earlier, the federation confirmed the recruitment of Said Ramdani, a striker playing for the under-19 side of Olympique de Marseille.

The federation revealed on March 19, 2026, via its official communication channels that Ramdani would join the national setup. He is expected to be part of the under-20 squad preparing for upcoming friendly matches against Mauritania national football team on March 27 and 30.

Ramdani brings international experience at youth level, having previously represented both Algeria and France at under-17 level before opting to continue his career with Tunisia. His club performances have also been notable, contributing to six goals in 20 appearances this season.

Structured effort behind recruitment drive

These back-to-back additions highlight a coordinated effort by the Tunisian Football Federation to identify and secure talented players abroad. The initiative is being overseen by Abdelkader Ghachir, who leads the unit responsible for monitoring dual-nationality players.

The strategy reflects a long-term vision aimed at strengthening Tunisia’s competitiveness by expanding its talent pool beyond domestic boundaries.

Building for the future

Tunisia’s recent recruitment successes underline a clear commitment to investing in youth and planning ahead. By integrating players such as Adam Braham and Said Ramdani into their system, the federation is laying the groundwork for sustained development.

As these young prospects continue their progress at club level, their inclusion offers optimism that Tunisia can build a stronger and more competitive national team in the years to come.
