Milan manager Ruben Amorim has praised the work of defender Sankun Diavara after the 20-year-old impressed in recent matches.

The Frenchman usually operates in central defence but has recently been deployed at left-back, where he produced a strong performance in the derby.

Amorim has not ruled out selecting Diavara in the starting XI for Milan’s Europa League fixture against Ferencvaros. The fourth-round match in the competition’s league phase will take place on 5 November.

Diavara joined Milan from French club Troyes last summer in a deal worth 2 million euros. He has made five appearances this season.
