Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Fares Chaïbi has earned praise from head coach Adi Hütter, who believes the Algerian international has reached an impressive level of performance following improvements in his training standards.
The 23-year-old has become an important part of Frankfurt’s midfield, with his consistency, work rate and technical ability earning recognition from the coaching staff.
Speaking ahead of Sunday’s Bundesliga meeting with Hamburger SV, Hütter highlighted Chaïbi’s qualities but revealed that he had previously challenged the midfielder to improve his approach during training.
“He is a very hardworking player and, in my opinion, has a lot of quality,” Hütter said.
The Frankfurt coach explained that he had held a lengthy conversation with Chaïbi after becoming dissatisfied with certain aspects of his training performances.
“I said: If you want to take the next step, you have to start training well every day.”
According to Hütter, the midfielder responded positively to the advice, raising his standards in training and translating that improvement into stronger performances during matches.
“He has been doing that for weeks now, and accordingly, his performances have improved,” he added.
Chaïbi’s work rate impresses Hütter
Hütter also highlighted the Algerian’s contribution away from the ball, particularly his willingness to track back, defend and work for the team.
“He runs an incredible amount and also helps out defensively. That’s why he plays, because he does it for the team,” the coach said.
Chaïbi’s ability to deliver dangerous set pieces was another quality singled out by Hütter, who believes the midfielder provides an additional attacking threat through his delivery from dead-ball situations.
The Algerian also featured in Frankfurt’s 3-1 DFB-Pokal victory over Hamburg on Tuesday, giving him another opportunity to demonstrate his recent progress against the same opponents.
With Frankfurt preparing for Sunday’s Bundesliga rematch, Chaïbi will be looking to maintain his improved form and continue earning the trust of his coach.
