Morocco and it’s diplomatic mission in the United States has issued a detailed guide for supporters travelling to Atlanta ahead of the Atlas Lions‘ final Group C match at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Moroccan Embassy in Washington announced a series of measures designed to help fans navigate the city and reach Mercedes-Benz Stadium, where Morocco will face Haiti on 24 June in a fixture that could prove decisive in the race for qualification to the knockout stages.
The initiative reflects the growing support surrounding the North African side, whose performances on the global stage have continued to attract large numbers of travelling fans.
According to the guidance released by the embassy, Moroccan supporters arriving in Atlanta through Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport will have access to a dedicated information point specifically established for fans of the national team.
The desk, located near FIFA’s office within the airport, will provide practical assistance, including directions, transportation information and general advice for supporters arriving in the city.
With thousands of fans expected to travel for the match, the embassy has also outlined recommended transport routes to help ease movement around Atlanta on match day.
For those relying on public transportation, supporters are encouraged to take the Red Line from the airport to Five Points Station before transferring to the Green Line towards Vine City Station.
The station is situated within walking distance of Mercedes-Benz Stadium, making it one of the most convenient routes for fans attending the game.
The guide also highlights the availability of Atlanta’s wider public transportation network, including both metro and bus services.
Supporters have been informed that a single journey on the network costs $2.50, while a daily travel pass priced at $9 offers unlimited travel across the city.
Bus route MARTA 36 is listed among the transport options available to those heading towards the stadium area.
The embassy has additionally warned fans planning to travel by taxi or ride-sharing services to make arrangements well in advance.
Heavy traffic is expected around Mercedes-Benz Stadium as supporters converge on the venue for one of Morocco’s most important group-stage matches of the tournament.
Early bookings, the guide notes, could help avoid delays and ensure supporters arrive in time for kick-off.
Beyond transportation advice, Moroccan authorities are also putting measures in place to assist citizens during their stay in Atlanta.
